Forest Therapy - Shirin Yoku
Live an unforgettable experience connecting with the native forest in the amazing landscapes of San Fabián
Forest therapy is a practice of connecting with nature that promotes health and aims to improve the well-being of participants. This practice began in the 1980s in Japan, under the name Shinrin-Yoku, which literally translates to being immersed in the forest or forest bathing. Over the last 40 years, forest bathing has gained worldwide recognition for its various physical and mental health benefits. This practice consists of immersing oneself in nature with conscious participation, noticing and absorbing the natural environment with all the senses. Forest bathing has been linked to numerous health benefits:
• Stress reduction
• Immune system strengthening
• Improved cognitive function
• Improved cardiovascular system
This practice plays a key role in relieving stress and finding mental and emotional balance. The guide offers a series of activities that help integrate the connection with nature into daily life, thus improving the overall health and well-being of participants, their communities, and the planet.
Kora Menegoz is a certified Forest Bathing guide by the international organization Forest Therapy Hub. She offers Forest Bathing for groups of adults, children, or families.
